THE PLATFORM
Madaris Grant’s campaign is built on restoring fairness, opportunity, and accountability for every Ohioan. He believes leadership should be about solving problems — not scoring political points — and that government should work for the people it serves.
His platform focuses on real, practical solutions for working families: fixing Ohio’s broken school funding system, empowering small businesses and entrepreneurs, lowering costs for essentials, standing with workers, expanding access to affordable healthcare, and rebuilding trust in government through transparency and common sense.
At the heart of every policy is one simple goal — helping hardworking Ohioans get ahead again and ensuring every child, every family, and every community has a fair shot at a better future.
FIXING OUR BROKEN SCHOOL FUNDING SYSTEM:
Every child deserves the chance to succeed, no matter their zip code. Right now, Ohio’s school funding system ties resources to local property taxes, which punishes children in lower-income communities. That is unfair and unsustainable.
I will work to change how our schools are funded so every student has access to qualified teachers, modern facilities, and the tools they need to thrive. That means expanding federal funding to level the playing field, hiring more intervention specialists to help students reach grade-level standards, and strengthening the Department of Education so schools get the
support they deserve.
When we invest in education, we invest in our future workforce, our economy, and our communities.
EMPOWERING SMALL BUSINESSES AND ENTREPRENEURS:
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. They create jobs, drive innovation, and keep our communities strong.
As a small business owner, I know what it takes to build something from the ground up. I will work to cut unnecessary red tape, expand small business grants, and make it easier for entrepreneurs to access mentorship and marketing support through the SBA. When local businesses can grow and compete fairly, we lower costs, strengthen our communities, and grow
the economy from the middle out instead of from the top down.
LOWERING COSTS AND RESTORING FAIR COMPETITION:

STANDING WITH WORKERS AND STRENGTHENING UNIONS:
Working people built this country, and they deserve leaders who stand with them. I will protect the right to organize, bargain collectively, and earn fair wages. That includes protecting pensions, raising wages that keep up with the cost of living, and making sure every workplace is safe and fair.
We will also expand access to job training and apprenticeship programs so Ohio’s workforce is ready for the jobs of the future in clean energy, advanced manufacturing, and technology.
MAKING HEALTHCARE A RIGHT, NOT A PRIVILEGE:
No family should ever have to choose between paying rent and buying medicine. I will fight to expand access to affordable healthcare, lower prescription drug costs, and protect people with pre-existing conditions. I also support investments in community health clinics, mental health services, and preventive care. Healthcare should not be a luxury. It is a basic human right, and I will work to make sure every Ohioan has access to it.
REBUILDING TRUST IN GOVERNMENT:
Ohioans deserve leaders who are accountable to the people, not to special interests or party insiders. I will push for greater transparency, stronger ethics laws, and real campaign finance reform. We need open government records, honest leadership, and elected officials who put people before politics. Leadership should be about solving problems, not scoring points. I will bring honesty, accountability, and common sense back to Congress.
